GHANA TECH SCENE
Located on the west coast of Africa, with a population of 30 million, Ghana is one of the most technologically advanced countries in Africa. It was the first African country to connect to the Internet as well as to launch a satellite.

Ghana has attracted Foreign Investment in excess of $3.5B in 2020, more than any of its surrounding countries (incl. Nigeria, which has a 6.5x population size).

Ghana's Eco System
One of the major advantages in Ghana is its ability to embrace technology in any form. Accra with its vibrant tech scene serves as the home to many tech corporates and startups.
Educational institutions are experiencing a boom in the number of students who apply annually for IT Technology related courses. In KNUST (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology) for example between 2013-2020 there has been an annual growth of c.40% in the number of students attending computer-related courses.

Boasting other top-tier tech universities such as Accra Institute of Technology and Ghana Technology University Campus places Ghana as the leader in West Africa in the field of computer science and IT professionals.

The capital city of Accra in particular is home to multi-national companies like Google, Nestle, Unilever, Guinness, Vodafone, Shell, KPMG, Deloitte, Samsung and more. This potential has already been recognized by Google, who launched its first African Articial Intelligence Centre in Ghana.
